RAISED HANDLES: The Olympic Hex Trap Bar combines the flush handle of a regular hex bar with a raised grip handle to create a multifunctional specialty barbell. PERFECT DEADLIFT/ SHOULDER SHRUG: With the trap bar, basic movements such as the deadlift is much less technical. It’s easier to get into a good position with an upright torso and a flat back with a hex bar. Unlike with a regular bar, the trap bar doesn’t scrape your shins, your knees come further forward and your hips can sit lower. The hex bar’s is built for a neutral grip (palms facing in towards each other). A double-overhand pronated grip with a straight bar puts more stress and a weaker hold.
